International and Multilingual Teams

Evaluates your ability to work effectively in an international, multilingual team by simplifying your language, checking that everyone has understood, sharing time zone constraints fairly and taking each site's local rules into account.

The international team test assesses how effective you are in a team spread across several countries, where the working language is not everyone's mother tongue. Speaking the shared language is not enough to make the team work: uneven proficiency, distant time zones and site-specific habits create gaps in understanding and commitment. On top of this come public holidays, different weekends and national regulations that a head-office decision has to account for if it is to apply everywhere.

This online test measures how you make a multilingual team clear and fair for each of its members. It is aimed at candidates applying for roles in international groups and at recruiters who want to check this ability before entrusting someone with coordinating several subsidiaries.

What this test measures

  • Adapting spoken and written language for colleagues working in a second language.
  • How you check that a decision or instruction has been understood the same way at every site.
  • Sharing out time constraints across time zones for recurring meetings and emergencies.
  • Taking account of each country's public holidays, calendars and regulations.
  • Attention paid to colleagues less comfortable in the shared language, in meetings and informal exchanges alike.

Examples of situations in the test

  1. 1A weekly meeting across three continents has been held for months at a late hour for one of the sites.
  2. 2A large shipment at a logistics group is scheduled on a public holiday in the country of one of the warehouses.
  3. 3A compliance memo must go out to a subsidiary whose local language its author does not speak.
  4. 4On a building site, safety rules have to be presented to workers with limited command of the shared language.

About this test

This test uses situational judgement tests (SJT), true/false questions and prioritisation exercises to assess your real behaviours. Each answer is weighted: there is no obvious "wrong" answer.

How to read your result

High result

A high score describes someone who makes information accessible to every site, shares the effort fairly and anticipates local specifics. With them, colleagues far from head office stay involved and decisions are applied consistently.

Result to develop

A score to develop indicates that some cross-site coordination or shared-language practices would benefit from adjustment. The report identifies simple changes to make the team more inclusive and more reliable.

Roles where this skill is decisive

  • International project manager
  • Multi-site operations manager
  • Supply chain coordinator
  • Group HR manager

Frequently asked questions

Do I need fluent English to take this test?

No. The test is available in French, English and Arabic, and it does not assess your language level. It measures how you organise work when team members do not all master the shared language to the same degree. It is an organisational and communication skill, not a language exam.

Is this test only for managers?

No. The scenarios put candidates in a range of roles: meeting facilitator, legal counsel, technician, buyer, trainer or frontline colleague. Everyone contributes to how well an international team works, for example by helping a newcomer settle in or allowing for a local calendar. Management roles do, however, face specific challenges, such as rolling out a group policy.

What does the final report contain?

The AI-generated behavioural report summarises your strengths, areas for growth and concrete recommendations. For this test, it sheds light on how you handle the working language, time zones and the balance between group directives and local realities. It is useful to candidates in free mode and to companies in a recruitment campaign.

Why assess this skill when hiring?

In a group operating in several countries, a misunderstood decision or a procedure rolled out without adaptation can cause costly errors and demotivate subsidiaries. Assessing this skill before hiring helps identify people who can coordinate several sites without creating a rift between head office and local teams.
