Contexte technique
CAPM, the Certified Associate in Project Management, is the Project Management Institute credential that opens its certification path. It is aimed at people early in their careers and at those moving into project management from another field, and it requires no experience leading projects. It covers the full breadth of the discipline's foundations: core concepts, the predictive approach, agile frameworks and business analysis.
The real exam has 150 questions, of which only 135 are scored, to be answered in 180 minutes. Fundamentals and core concepts carry 36 per cent, business analysis 27 per cent, agile frameworks 20 per cent and predictive methodologies 17 per cent. Business analysis is where many candidates come unstuck: it makes up more than a quarter of the paper, yet those who see CAPM as a project management credential in the narrow sense give it little attention. The exam is offered in 11 languages, including English, French and Arabic, so candidates can sit it in the language they prepared in.
This practice quiz draws 40 questions from a bank of 200 built to the same weighting as the exam, business analysis included. Two thirds of the questions are scenarios, and each explanation sets out the expected reasoning and what rules the other options out. The bank is available in English, French and Arabic, all three languages in which the exam can actually be taken. Retake the quiz until you consistently score above 75 per cent: the draw changes from one session to the next, and a steady score at that level tells you more than a single good result.
