Contexte technique

The People domain accounts for 33 per cent of the PMP exam, down from 42 per cent in the previous outline. It remains the backbone of the credential, because this is where the difference shows between a project manager who applies a method and one who can move a group forward under pressure. The eight tasks cover shared vision, conflict management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, aligning and managing expectations, knowledge transfer, and communication.

Questions in this domain unsettle candidates because they have no procedural answer. Several options are defensible, and what separates them is the proportion of the action: understand before acting, treat the cause rather than the symptom, involve the right person at the right time, do not escalate too early, do not decide alone when the team holds the information. Candidates who reason in terms of process routinely lose points here while scoring well elsewhere.

This practice quiz reproduces that logic. The 35 questions drawn each session come from a bank of 150 items built task by task, roughly 19 per task, so no competency can be skipped. Scenarios alternate between predictive, adaptive and hybrid settings, since the outline favours no single delivery approach. Explanations set out the expected reasoning and say why the other options, often plausible, are not the right answer.
